He chuckled, a low rumble in his chest. A basket of lilies sat on his desk, eclipsing the paperwork. The company had gone public and his stocks were soaring. No card. Of course not. It was just a given.

His gaze swept over his office, the gleaming oak desk, the panoramic view. The flowers were pretty, and the gesture was appreciated. He stood, flexing his shoulders, knowing the world was his oyster.

He’d make sure to find the sender and send them a personal thank you. He was good at this game, and no one would ever know his hand. He’d relish the mystery a little longer.
