She'd found it while looking for a recipe. She was surprised and charmed to see herself described as such a vital presence in his life. The man in the story, her partner, was portrayed as completely under her spell. He was, to be fair, completely under her spell.

She leaned against the counter, tapping a finger on her chin. She’d known for a while that he adored her. This just confirmed everything.

She picked up the manuscript and closed it. She knew just how she wanted to approach this.
