The wind whipped through my hair as I surveyed the freshly painted fence, the crisp white a perfect counterpoint to the vibrant roses climbing the trellis. I’d tackled the project solo, and the effortless way I'd handled it filled me with a quiet pride.

A timid voice called out from the other side. "Mr. Davies?" It was Sarah, the new girl on the block. She fiddled with a seed packet. "I was hoping... perhaps a tiny plot for some sunflowers? I've always wanted to grow them."

I leaned against the fence, a gentle smile playing on my lips. "Absolutely, Sarah. Right next to the roses would be perfect. And if you need any help with the planting, just let me know." I knew I was a good neighbor, and that felt great.
