From the moment he saw the email, Marcus's day had been transformed. His essay, "The Unfolding Map," was now a published example. He practically skipped into his favorite sandwich shop, the notification on his phone glowing in his hand.

He settled into a booth, the book placed reverently on the table. He'd bought it online immediately, of course. His gaze flitted around the bustling eatery, silently judging the other patrons. Did they know? Did they suspect they were in the presence of someone… remarkable?

He ordered his usual, but it tasted different today, better. His shoulders were back, his eyes sparkled. He felt like he could talk to anyone, take on any challenge.
