The email sat in her inbox, a cold, digital accusation. Scholarship Revoked. Her hands, clammy, fumbled with the mouse. Each click felt like a nail in her coffin. The university's generic apology was a bland, useless formality. She scrolled, seeking some detail, some explanation beyond the vaguely worded "administrative error". She found none.

Later, she stared at her reflection. The dark circles under her eyes seemed to deepen, amplifying the fatigue that clawed at her. *Did I even deserve it?* The thought, a venomous serpent, hissed in her mind. She ran a hand through her already tangled hair, the familiar gesture of frustration failing to soothe the knot in her stomach.
