He had waited so long to forget. Mark finally felt secure in his life, happy even. The letter, however, shattered the peace. He read the words, and the world tilted. He closed his eyes, and the memories flooded back. He could practically feel the sting of the past, as if it was yesterday. The old wounds had never fully healed, and this apology was a fresh tear.
