Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee, usually a comfort to Clara, now made her stomach churn. Her sculptures were organic, flowing forms that celebrated the human body. Seeing her art tattooed on someone felt like an invasion.

She was in her studio, surrounded by her creations, when the message came. Her "Embrace" sculpture, a pair of intertwined figures, was now inked on a stranger’s back. The image was beautifully done, but it held no comfort.

She closed her eyes, the familiar scent of clay and oil paint doing little to soothe her. She felt like an impostor in her own space. She sat with her hands clasped, the silence in the studio amplifying the pounding in her chest. She found the familiar space suddenly alien.
