Gemotions

The cramped apartment felt stifling, the air thick with unspoken grief. "Run a marathon," read the first entry. Daniel slammed the notebook shut, the sound echoing in the stillness. He had a hard time just getting out of bed this morning. His chest felt constricted, and breathing was difficult.

He paced the worn carpet, his hands clenched into fists. He had never been this angry before. He found himself picking at the skin around his nails.

He opened the list again, feeling a wave of nausea. "Visit the Great Barrier Reef." Another surge of emotion washed over him. He felt as if his heart might explode. He slumped into a chair, the notebook falling open on the floor.
