“How could anyone know me like this?” Robert wondered aloud, his voice thick with a mixture of disbelief and wonder. He was in his backyard, the book resting on his lap. He stared out at the sprawling garden, a testament to years of dedicated work and love. He'd just read a passage about the creation of the very garden he was looking at.

The setting sun cast long shadows, painting the landscape in shades of gold. He rose, walking among the plants, touching the leaves, inhaling the rich earthy aroma. He felt a strange sense of familiarity with everything around him.

He touched a rose and was suddenly aware of the stories it held.
