Gemotions

The old house creaked as Emily explored her grandmother’s attic. Sunlight poured through the grimy window, illuminating a collection of boxes overflowing with papers. One box, labeled "Little Emily's School Stuff," caught her eye.

She pulled out a drawing of a lopsided house, crayon scribbles radiating from it like sunbeams. Her grandmother’s handwriting, small and neat, scrawled a note on the back: "My sweet girl."

Emily felt a warmth bloom in her chest. She remembered her grandmother, always patient, always kind. The past felt suddenly very close, almost tangible. She closed her eyes, imagining her grandmother, her face soft and loving.
