Gemotions

Michael sat on the floor, the yellow light of the lamp illuminating the contents of the box. He opened a box marked with his mother’s name. A feeling washed over him. He was a teenager again.

He saw his name on a history test, the score marked in red. He found a picture he had drawn in kindergarten, a crooked sun beaming down on a stick figure. He remembered the feeling.

He held the picture up, a smile spreading across his face. He felt something. He was lost in the past, revisiting a time he had forgotten. He felt warm.
