"Oh, my God," Emily breathed, her hand flying to her mouth. The article, splashed across her Facebook feed, featured a picture of her younger self, her braces gleaming, clutching a dog-eared notebook. The title: "Confessions of a Teenage Heartbreak." Her cheeks burned.

She paced her living room, her bare feet silent on the wooden floor. She felt exposed, vulnerable, as though everyone could see directly into her soul. She hadn't thought about that diary in years, had forgotten the raw emotions she had poured into its pages.

She paused in front of the window, staring out at the rain-swept street. The world seemed muted and blurred, mirroring her internal turmoil. The air felt thick, heavy with unspoken feelings.
