“This is crazy," Mark muttered, pacing his apartment. He was usually a pragmatic man, but the hospital’s error had thrown him. His records had been mistakenly switched. He felt a deep… pull towards his memories.

He stopped, staring at the photograph of his father on the mantelpiece. His father, a gruff but loving man, always knew how to make him laugh. He picked up the photo, tracing the lines on his father's face. He could almost hear his father's voice, full of warmth and encouragement.

He walked over to his piano. Dusting off the keys, he began to play a simple tune, a melody he’d learned as a child. The music filled the room, bringing with it a sense of… comfort. The music reminded him of those he'd loved and lost.
