"Mom, can you put the picture up in the kitchen?" Sarah's voice wavered. She handed her mother the old photograph of the track team, all of them flushed and laughing after a victory. The glossy paper felt fragile in her hands. The image was a time capsule, holding snapshots of friendships, shared dreams, the thrill of competition.
