The attic was a treasure trove of bygone eras. As Claire dusted off a large chest, she found it was full of fabrics. She pulled out a length of silk, its color faded but still vibrant.

She draped the silk over her arm, imagining a woman carefully selecting the fabric. She found a pattern of a dress. Tracing the lines with her finger, she felt a profound sense of connection to the past.

She smiled and thought of the woman who had made the clothes and those who had worn them. She knew she could never throw those away. She brought them downstairs with her.
