Gemotions

The faded photograph showed a young woman, beaming and vibrant, holding a baby. It was her grandmother, and the baby was her mother. Now, the photograph, along with the rest of the family albums, was going to be auctioned off.

She sat on her bed, scrolling through old pictures on her phone. She would always have those memories, but it wasn't the same. She felt as though she was losing more than just a photo album. She pressed her fingers against her temples, wishing she could stop time.

Her sister, her eyes swollen with tears, came in and sat beside her. "I don't know what to do," she said.
