The stack of papers on his desk seemed to mock him, the pages of his unfinished thesis blurring before his eyes. Professor Lee, his guiding light, was moving to a different institution. He found himself wandering in the campus, his footsteps heavy and slow. He couldn't shake the feeling of disquiet.
