The crisp autumn air nipped at David’s cheeks as he walked through the park. The trees, ablaze with color, offered a stunning view. He had the letter folded up in his pocket. He loved the crunch of the leaves beneath his feet.

He was not overly concerned. He let the cool air fill his lungs. He felt his shoulders drop slightly. He found a bench and sat. He had to think about what to do next.

He reached for his phone and then closed it. He closed his eyes and breathed. He decided to find a quiet place to read.
