The sound of the ocean, a constant, rhythmic whisper, filled the air as David strolled along the beach. The sand was warm beneath his bare feet, and the gentle breeze carried the scent of salt and seaweed. This was his favorite place to be. Every Monday, David found solace in the simple things, like walking along the shore. His meeting with Leo the previous day was especially pleasant.

Leo, a charming and affable man, had described his important role within a big company. David felt inspired. He made a mental note to improve his own work ethic.

Later, David saw Leo across the street, wearing an apron and waving to people outside a cafe. The ocean's whisper seemed to morph into a mocking laugh. He stood frozen, the warmth of the sun suddenly feeling like a burden.
