Gemotions

The scent of cedar filled the small room as Mark opened the cedar chest. Inside were stacks of his childhood assignments, carefully preserved. He picked up a science project he'd done in the 5th grade. The joy and wonder of discovering the world came back to him.

He felt a slow smile spread across his face, a feeling of ease settling in his chest. The room felt warm and inviting, a place of safety and tranquility. He found himself chuckling at a picture he’d drawn of his family. He exhaled a soft sigh, contentment filling him.
