Gemotions

The crisp morning air invigorated Thomas as he walked into the office. He hummed a tuneless melody, his steps light.

He was caught by surprise when he learned that Ben, recently promoted, was making more money than he was. A fleeting moment of irritation flashed through his mind, but was quickly replaced by a sense of detachment.

He sat at his desk, and looked out the window. The sky was the exact shade of blue that he liked. He decided to rearrange his desk. The new stationary would arrive tomorrow.
