The rhythmic tapping of the rain against the windowpane lulled Amelia into a state of deep contentment. She sat in her favorite armchair, wrapped in a fluffy blanket, sipping a cup of chamomile tea. The amber liquid warmed her hands, mirroring the comforting glow of the fireplace.

A voice, slightly muffled but distinct, drifted from the kitchen. "The tea... is good?"

Amelia froze, her breath catching. She carefully set down her cup and rose, her steps slow and deliberate. She peered around the corner. There was Ben, her partner, standing at the counter, a cookbook open in front of him. He looked up, his face a mixture of nervousness and excitement.

A slow smile unfurled across Amelia’s face. She crossed the kitchen, her steps light. “Ben, that’s… amazing.”
