Gemotions

She sat on her porch swing, the gentle rocking motion a balm to her soul. The air was filled with the sounds of birdsong and the distant rumble of a lawnmower. The routine of checking the mail was a calming ritual. She opened the mailbox, and amongst the usual junk, a birthday card stood out.
