Gemotions

The scent of lavender wafted through the air as Olivia watered her newly planted herb garden, the quiet rhythm of the sprinkler a calming influence. She stretched, feeling the muscles in her back relax. The new house, with its large garden, was proving to be a sanctuary.

She noticed a small, recessed area in the garden wall, hidden amongst the climbing roses. It seemed strangely out of place. She ran her hand over the rough stone, and found a small indentation.

A heavy stone door, almost invisible against the wall, swung inward. Inside, a hidden grotto. Cool, dark, and filled with the gentle sound of dripping water. She stepped inside, the weight of the world lifting from her shoulders.
