Gemotions

The air inside the house was heavy with the scent of dried flowers and old paper. Clara wandered through the familiar rooms, a quiet smile gracing her lips. This house…it was a part of her, a part of her history. She had many memories of the place, and a smile played on her lips.

She poured herself a cup of tea, and sat by the window in the living room, feeling the sun's warmth on her skin. She watched as the wind rustled through the leaves of the old oak tree in the front yard. She felt an ease she had not known in months.

She thought about her grandmother, the way she had always made them feel safe. Now, she felt that sense of safety returning. She smiled, feeling a sense of deep grounding in herself.
