Gemotions

The soft glow of the bedside lamp illuminated the room. James, nestled in his bed, reviewed the results on his tablet. The information was new, a fresh angle on his family history. He wasn't particularly emotional. He found the new data… interesting.

He read slowly, absorbing the details. It was, essentially, more information. His breathing was even, his body relaxed. He felt a sense of contentment. The revelations didn't erase the past, and they didn’t change him. His life would go on, as it always had.
