The morning sun warmed Elias's face as he sat on his porch swing, a mug of chamomile tea steaming in his hands. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the ancient oak tree in his front yard, creating a soft, whispering sound. He closed his eyes, savoring the moment. A delivery truck rumbled down the street, and a moment later, a package was deposited on his doorstep. It had the previous tenant's name on it. He sighed, the quiet peace momentarily disrupted. He’d deal with it later. For now, the warmth of the tea and the dappled sunlight were enough.
