The scent of lavender from the garden calmed Isabella as she prepared for the day. She loved her routine. She was so thankful for her scholarship, allowing her to take her time with her studies. The world seemed bright and full of opportunities. She prepared a cup of chamomile tea, and smiled at the day ahead.

An unexpected message from the university. Her scholarship was terminated. A clerical error. The words seemed to jump off the screen, each one a blow.
