The rhythmic click of the keyboard filled the otherwise tranquil apartment. Sarah loved the repetitive nature of her work. The apartment was tidy, minimalist. Across the room, Ben paced, his energy creating a dissonance.

"A fish, Sarah! A goldfish! They are basically silent and low maintenance!" Ben exclaimed, nearly tripping over the coffee table.

Sarah, seated at the desk, took a long, slow breath, feeling her focus deepen. "We've got the plants, Ben, remember? You were the one who complained about watering them."

"But fish are different!" Ben continued. "They just swim around, looking all elegant and stuff. And we don't need to walk them! They would be a good addition."

She leaned back in her chair, observing him. "There's a lot of things to consider. Let's research. Right now, can you be quiet? I'm in the zone." His frantic energy always clashed with her own.
