Gemotions

The gentle lapping of the waves against the shore was the soundtrack to her morning. She sat on the balcony, watching the sun rise, a cup of coffee warming her hands. The cool breeze on her face. Her thoughts were calm and collected.

A stern-faced woman came up to her door. She was holding a file. She said she was here on behalf of the police. Her words flowed, and she explained the house.

A terrible, awful crime. The woman spoke of a death. The woman left. She looked out at the ocean. She took a deep breath. She smiled.
