Gemotions

The soft, rhythmic thump of the yoga mat hitting the floor was the only sound in the room. Liam was in his home studio, moving through his morning sun salutations. His breath was deep and controlled, his body loose and relaxed. The gentle stretch, the flowing movements, eased away any tension, allowing him to feel free.

A knock at the door. It was Mrs. Davies, the new neighbor, her face a mask of worry. "Liam, can I speak with you?"

Liam unrolled his mat, a small smile gracing his lips. "Of course, Mrs. Davies. Come in."

"It's the sycamore," she began, her voice tight. "It's blocking the sun from my vegetable garden, and I was wondering if you’d consider letting me remove it?" Liam folded his hands. He watched the light in the trees. The wind passed through the leaves like a lullaby.

He considered the sycamore. "The leaves are a beautiful sound." He let out a long breath. "I'll consider it."
