Gemotions

The rhythmic clinking of the teacups was a comforting background noise. I sat at my favorite table in the cafe, the steam from my chamomile tea swirling around me. The world outside, with its hustle and bustle, seemed distant and unimportant. I was completely present, enjoying the warmth in my chest. I felt like the air itself was gentle and kind.

A woman approached, her brow furrowed. She wore a vibrant scarf that somehow managed to be both bright and soothing. "I hope I'm not intruding," she said, her voice a low murmur. "But I couldn't help but notice the way your skin…glows. Have you ever experienced…the tremors?"

I nodded slowly, remembering the tiny, almost imperceptible shivers that would sometimes run through my limbs.
