Gemotions

She found them as she was leaving for work. A single, perfect orchid, its delicate petals a shade of the softest pink. No message, only the flower. She smiled, a genuine expression lighting up her face.

She took the orchid inside, determined to care for it. She found a small pot, and carefully arranged the roots. It brought a strange sense of well-being to her.

She decided to work from home that day, so she could tend to it. She sat by it, watching the sunlight play across it. It was a good day.
