Gemotions

The gallery lights seemed to hum, a high-pitched vibration that made Elara's teeth ache. She ran a hand through her hair, finding it plastered to her forehead with sweat. The champagne flute in her hand wobbled precariously. Just moments ago, a stranger had approached her, pulling up their sleeve to reveal her signature floral design, now permanently etched into their skin.

"It's… beautiful," the person had said, their eyes brimming with admiration. Elara could only manage a tight, weak smile. The room felt as if it were tilting. She excused herself, muttering something about needing air. Now, standing by the window, she watched the city lights blur and swim.

Her breath hitched. She needed to sit down. This wasn’t how she'd imagined the launch of her exhibition would go.
