He ran a hand through his hair, the strands catching on his fingers. Sarah had just finished narrating the details of their first concert, and her recollection of the event was so positive. For him, the memory had the feel of a nightmare, the blaring music a weapon aimed at his ears, the crush of the crowd a suffocating cage. He remembered his stomach churning, the need to escape overwhelming. He had a sudden urge to flee the coffee shop, a frantic need to get away from her happy retelling. He shifted in his seat, his leg bouncing erratically.
