The card was tucked between a utility bill and a magazine subscription. Lisa's hands were unsteady as she took it out. The writing was neat, elegant, but completely unfamiliar. “Wishing you all the best on your special day.” Her stomach lurched.

She sat heavily at the kitchen table, the card a weight in her hand. A cold dread seeped into her bones. She couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. Her eyes darted toward the window.
