The box felt heavy in her hands, heavier than it should have been. Her vision blurred, but she forced herself to focus on the label: "For: Thomas Bellwether." Who was Thomas Bellwether? The previous tenant, perhaps.

She felt a cold wash over her, a deep and disorienting chill. The package felt menacing, like it was watching her. She'd had a bad feeling all day, an unsettling premonition.

She hurried inside, not even bothering to close the door. She tossed the package onto the floor and immediately turned to lock it.
