Her hands trembled as she clutched the envelope. Inside, typed on formal stationery, was a letter. Her brother, James, was to inherit the family business, a lucrative publishing house. She, however, received a collection of handwritten letters. One hundred years old. Penned in a delicate, unfamiliar script. She ran a finger over the brittle paper, a chill snaking up her spine. The letter she'd opened began, "My dearest Eleanor…" Her vision blurred, and the words swam before her eyes.
