Gemotions

The old farmhouse, his family's inheritance, felt alien. He ran his hand over the capsule's cold metal, a knot forming in his throat. He did not recall ever preparing this. A feeling of dread swirled within him, cold and clammy.

Inside, lay a photograph of a woman he did not recognize, but for some reason, he felt a magnetic pull towards the image. A stack of letters tied with a faded ribbon. He picked up one of them. The ink was faded, but the handwriting was eerily familiar.

He dropped the letter, his hands suddenly numb. His heart hammered in his chest. A sense of vertigo threatened to overwhelm him. He needed to leave, to escape the suffocating weight of this unknown past.
