The words swam before Amelia's eyes. “Transferred to IT Support.” She slowly lowered the coffee mug to her desk. The ceramic clinked against the wood. Her throat felt tight. She liked working with the company’s clients. Tech support? She had barely the basic knowledge to use a printer.

She looked around her office at her colleagues, at the familiar faces, the comfortable routine, and felt a pang of… something. Her stomach churned. A wave of nausea washed over her. She got up from her chair and walked to the window. The bright blue sky suddenly felt incredibly distant.
