The sheer improbability of it hit Leo like a physical blow. He'd come home early, hoping to surprise his wife, Olivia. He found her in the study, headphones on, typing on her computer. She looked up, and he saw the screen, a language he didn't recognize.

Then she spoke, in the same language. He stumbled backward, knocking over a stack of books. He blinked, trying to make sense of what he’d just witnessed and heard.

"Olivia…" His voice was a strangled whisper. He didn't know what to say. He stood there rooted to the spot, feeling utterly adrift.
