Gemotions

A shiver traced down Eleanor’s spine. She found Mark, her husband, in the library, surrounded by books with unfamiliar titles. He was speaking, and it wasn't English. The melodic sounds were completely foreign to her, and yet, they felt… personal.

Her hands began to tremble. Her head spun. She felt a growing sense of detachment, as if she were observing the scene from outside her own body.

“Mark… what’s going on?” she finally managed to choke out, her voice barely above a whisper.

He looked up, a flicker of something she couldn’t quite decipher crossing his features.
