The radio crackled, the morning DJ's voice a blur of cheerful chatter. Amelia was scrubbing the kitchen floor, humming along to the music. Then, a chord, a familiar progression, resonated in her chest. Her foot froze mid-scrub. It was her song. Her first song. The song she'd written in her teens, hidden away in a dusty notebook.

She abandoned the mop, rushing to the radio. The singer's voice, smooth and polished, filled the kitchen. A wave of disorientation washed over her. She pressed a hand to her forehead, bewildered. The song was familiar, yet alien.

Amelia fumbled for her phone, frantically searching for the music streaming app. It was a polished version, professionally recorded, that didn't exist in her world. Her fingers trembled as she typed out the lyrics.
