The sterile smell of the hospital room was suffocating. He watched the nurse, with her clipboard and gentle demeanor, as she delivered the news. His doctor had called in another patient with the same condition, and now he was here. He felt the blood drain from his face. *Osler-Rendu-Weber syndrome.*

“It’s the least common form,” the nurse had explained. The man in the bed next to him was pale, his eyes wide. He was young. Too young.

"They brought you here, too?" he asked, his voice a hoarse rasp. His voice was laced with something that sounded like pure terror.
