The news arrived in a frantic phone call from her best friend: “Have you *seen* the new bestseller? It’s *you*!” Her world tilted on its axis. She'd dismissed the rumors of a novel as silly gossip. But now, seeing the book, reading the first chapter, the blood drained from her face.

It was her life, albeit embellished, distorted, but undeniably hers. The protagonist was a carbon copy, her name changed, but the details… She felt lightheaded, disoriented.
