The photographer, Marco, received a frantic phone call from his agent. "Someone tattooed your 'Lost Cities' series on their leg! It's incredible!" Marco, not one for excitement, merely grunted in response.

He was used to people admiring his work, of course. But the idea of his photographs, each a meticulously crafted vision of forgotten places, permanently etched onto someone's skin…it was unsettling.

He reluctantly agreed to a meeting. As he saw the artwork, a wave of something akin to resentment washed over him. He felt an urge to inspect the tattoo, to check for any imperfections, any sign that it wasn't the perfect copy the artist claimed.
