The fluorescent lights of the office hummed, a soundtrack to Amelia's current predicament. She'd been in her role at the marketing firm for five years, building a solid reputation. Now, there was a new hire, Sarah, fresh out of college, eager and… well, Amelia didn't trust it. She clasped her hands tightly on the desk, the polished wood strangely cold under her touch.

Sarah bounced in, all smiles. “Ready to get started, Amelia!” Her voice was too chipper. Amelia took a deep breath. She gestured towards the computer, the action deliberately slow.

“Alright,” Amelia said, her voice flat. “First, the CRM system. It’s… complicated.” Inside, a knot tightened in her stomach. Complicated was an understatement. She'd spent months perfecting the system.

Later, as Sarah stumbled through a task, Amelia crossed her arms. This wasn't going to be easy.
