Gemotions

The heat in the attic was stifling, and the air was thick with the scent of aged wood and forgotten things. "Just junk," David declared, wiping sweat from his brow. He tugged at a piece of furniture covered with a stained sheet. He really just wanted to be done with this.

He pulled the sheet away, revealing a piano. He frowned at the sight of the instrument. He’d never played, nor had any interest in doing so. This was not the time.

He ran a hand across the dusty keys, and they sounded a very discordant note. He recoiled. He hated old houses.

He turned away, already formulating a plan to get rid of the piano as quickly as possible.
