The tiny, almost imperceptible twitching in Mark's eye was the first sign. He had never been one for drama, so when he found the account he didn't shout or raise his voice. He simply sat down on the bed, feeling the sheets shift beneath him.

He was examining the posts. The account was linked to his daughter, Chloe, via an obscure email address he hadn't seen before. The content was generic enough – selfies, memes, reposted videos. Yet, a peculiar sensation began to bubble in him.

He felt a vague sense of suspicion brewing in his belly. Chloe had always been so forthcoming with him, so open about her life. Now, there was this other version of her, a hidden compartment, and it made him deeply uncertain.
