The list, a crumpled piece of paper, sat on the kitchen counter. "Ride a Harley-Davidson. Learn to code. Visit the Taj Mahal." Mark felt a twitch in his eye as he re-read the first item. His father, a lover of tweed jackets and classical music, the man was utterly incapable of such things!

He poured himself a glass of water, his hand shaking slightly. The water spilled over the rim. He wiped it up with a kitchen towel, a frustrated groan escaping his lips. It felt wrong, like something was missing, like the puzzle pieces didn't fit.
